We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team.
As a Permanent Machinist, you will be at the heart of our operations, playing a pivotal role in the creation and production of various components.
You will work with a variety of materials and use an array of manual and automated tools to cut, drill, and shape parts to precise specifications.

Responsibilities:
1.
Set up, operate, and maintain a variety of machines including lathes, mills, and grinders to produce precision parts and instruments.
2.
Interpret engineering blueprints, sketches, and diagrams to determine the most effective methods of machining parts.
3.
Use precision measuring instruments to check the accuracy of machined parts, ensuring they meet the required specifications and quality standards.
4.
Fabricate and modify parts to repair machine tools and maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.
5.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
6.
Assist in the training of less experienced machinists, sharing your knowledge and expertise.
7.
Collaborate with the Quality Control department to ensure the accuracy of completed work.
Qualifications:
1.
A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
2.
Extensive knowledge and practical experience with manual machining, lathe operation, mill operation, grinding, drilling, cutting, and tooling.
3.
Proven mechanical skills, with a strong understanding of the properties and uses of different materials.
4.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex blueprints and technical drawings.
5.
Demonstrated ability to maintain high quality standards, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing excellent work.
6.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and make effective decisions under pressure.
7.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a positive, can-do attitude.
8.
Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods.
9.
Completion of a machinist apprenticeship program or equivalent training is highly desirable.
10.
Certification from the National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) is a plus.
